Hello readers! The unimaginable, unfathomable and unbelievable has JUST happened– I’m actually posting about felines on a Friday. Here’s to making good on promises (sort of) and trying to redeem myself on New Year’s resolutions gone awry (sort of). But this is all irrelevant now, and I’ll finally get to what all three of you are here for.
Today I talk about attitude & cats. I, for one, am all about attitudes. Preferably attitudes of the happy and sassy variety, but I won’t be too picky. And we all know I’m all about those cats. What can be better than cats and attitude?
Cats WITH attitude. That’s what my sweet little cat journal says in order to make me fear being a cat lady– “Cats have such an attitude.”
I don’t think this is something I can fear, though. That would be hypocritical, as I’m told I’m sassy on a regular basis which I believe is attitude (or, if you’re hip and cool, ‘tude.). So naturally, I’m destined to be a cat lady because I need a pet that understands me, you know? Someone (something? what?) who puts up with my attitude because, well, they have more attitude than me.
Ollie has more attitude than I can even imagine. Just this week he chewed on prized blanket without anyone knowing it. Then the next day he went back to chewing it, even though my Mom was pretty mad before. If that’s not an F U to humankind, I don’t know what is. It’s #cattitude at it’s finest.
I won’t lie though, the thought has crossed my mind that I should be worried that I identify with the attitude of cats more than, say, other humans. But it’s been a long week, and I don’t want to worry about that right meow.
Instead you can all take a look at a few pictures of Ollie in prime ‘tude form. Also, I decided to spend a Saturday afternoon with a friend (YES I have HUMAN friends, don’t look so surprised!) singing the song of our people. In other words, we went to the animal shelter in Golden Valley, MN and played with the cats (and…dogs…GUILTY) that are waiting to go to happy homes. So here are photos of my faves, both in cuteness and cattitude.

I’m going to chew up your new hair bands, and I don’t give a damn what you think. #thegrinch #olliestolechristmas #meow #cattitude
Tell me readers, have you experienced #cattitude this week?

I experience cattitude on a daily basis. I think the term was named for my sister Ethel. Total Diva.
I think I’m experiencing this, ever since school ended.
